Dr. Alok Srivastava
Dr. Alok Srivastava was born on August 07, 1957 in Varanasi (India). He did his doctoral dissertation work at Center of Energy Studies, IIT Delhi in the group of Prof. M S Sodha. From 1980-81 he worked at Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI) in Golden, Colorado. He has done his Master of Engineering (ME) from The George Washington University and also studied at University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins University,
Since 1982, Dr. Alok is in Washington DC, worked for L-3 Communications and Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC). Since 1994 he is Chief Engineer with one of the largest US high technology company, the Northrop Grumman Corporation spearheading the development of large high reliability safety critical command and control systems. He is an Executive Member of Association of Computing Machinery (ACM SIGAda) and Managing Editor of ACM Ada Letters, a research journal on high integrity computer languages. ACM has more than 90 thousand members worldwide. Alok is involved with several Indian community activities including the lobbying efforts for recent US-India Nuclear Power agreement. He has been instrumental in organizing several international conferences on High Reliability Computer Systems and being invited to deliver key-note lectures.
The governing body has appointed Dr. Alok Srivastava as a Ambassador and Foreign Executive Secretary of BERS.
